Welcome to the Kids' Mile & 500m race.
This year we have moved the usual Sunday 'Kids' Mile & 500m' to Saturday 16th September. Reason is to increase capacity and have a specific childrens day... We introduce 'SUPER SATURDAY'!!
On Sunday 17th September there will be a family mile. Click here for more information on that event.
HOW TO ENTER
Online entry is now closed. If you wish your child to participate then please go to 'Kids Resgitration' tent at Old Deer Park (see map below) on race day with plenty of time before the event. Race entry is £15 on race day and please bring cash. Registration tent opens at 11.30am.

Kids Mile & 500m Race Schedule
Packet Pick Up
Race packs are NOT posted, you must collect all race packs on the day at the kids registration, located in Old Deer Park. Packet pick up will be open from 11:30am to collect your child's race number and timing chip. Please arrive early for your race, we are delighted to partner with Brentford FC CST and Lions Sports who will be bringing you a variety of multi-sport activities to entertain our kids throughout the afternoon.
The Festival
The festival is complete with live music, the Richmond Food & Fitness Expo and the London Pride bar and champagne tent (for the thirsty adults).
T-shirt Collection
T-shirt pick up will be open from 11:30pm to collect your NIKE t-shirt before the race. T-shirt collection is located next to the packet pick-up tent. Medals will be rewarded after the race at the finish line.
The Start/Finish
The start and finish is located towards the back of Old Deer Park. Head to the large race arch 10mins before the race to warm up with our GB athletes.
The Course
The 1 mile course starts and finishes in the same place this year and loops around Old Deer Park. The 500m race (for our Reception - Year 2) will be a smaller version of this loop. For the safety of our kids, parents are NOT permitted inside the course. If you want to run with your child please keep outside the course parameter.

The Finish
Parents are NOT allowed in this area. Children will be handed back to parents at the end of the finishing shoot once the parent is identified. We ask parents to assist our staff by being patient during this time. No child will be permitted to leave the Safe Zone without their parent/guardian to collect them.
About
The Kids’ Mile, created after the 2012 Olympics with the help of NIKE UK, is part of our Olympic Legacy. Our little runners will be supported by TEAM GB Olympians on the day and with the help of our partner NIKE, every child will be chip timed and receive the best NIKE race t-shirt and cool medal. The race starts in Old Deer Park with live music cheering on our stars of the future.
